Situated in the London Borough of Enfield within the Highlands Ward, the masterplan encompasses 362 new homes and two new schools, a three form entry primary school and a six form entry secondary school, across four development parcels.
XCO2 were appointed by the planning consultants, Montagu Evans, to complete a series of environmental assessments to support the design and its planning application. Utilising air source heat pumps for green energy generation, the residential element of the scheme, which is targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’, is expected to reduce on-site regulated carbon emissions by 50% with SAP 2010 emission factors.
