ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR – SUSTAINABILITY – SINGAPORE
THE ROLE
You will be leading a team of Sustainability and Energy Consultants with a passion for low carbon design and renewable energy systems. On our projects, we are typically working as part of a design team for new and existing buildings ranging in scale from small developments up to large masterplan projects. We also provide consultancy advice to clients on decarbonisation strategies for their businesses.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business in Singapore reporting to the Directors. The team currently consists of 6 consultants with a strong growth strategy. The team will work closely with our London office which has over 50 staff to share resources.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
At XCO2 we value building teams with a diverse set of skills to promote knowledge sharing throughout the business. We will be looking for a rich mix of some of the following skills and experience:
• 7-10+ Years of experience working with a Sustainability or MEP Consultancy focused on Sustainability and Energy Consultancy in the Built Environment
• Team Management
• Reporting to Directors on team performance in respect of KPIs, Sales and Profit
• Demonstration that you have been successful in finding and/or maintaining a good client pool
• An interest and appetite for business development. This will include supporting others in driving new business as well as maintaining existing client and collaborator relationships.
• Leading projects from concept to completion with high aspirations and targets for sustainability and low carbon design
• Developing innovative strategies for the reduction and management of Energy, Water and Waste
• Knowledge of or experience of different Sustainability Assessments and Certification methods for example:
o LEED
o BREEAM
o Greenmark
o GBDL
o EarthCheck
o WELL
• Knowledge or experience with Environmental Simulation Software such as Virtual Environment IES and/or building of bespoke tools
• Experience with or otherwise good understanding of:
o EDGE
o CRREM
o GRESB
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – SINGAPORE
THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team in Singapore. As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our presence in the APAC market. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, contribute to cutting-edge projects, and make a meaningful impact on the sustainable development landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the APAC market, with a focus on Energy, Sustainability, MEP and Carbon consulting services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, industry partners, and our collaborators.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with our technical teams to understand and communicate our service offerings effectively to potential clients.
• Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify emerging opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts in collaboration with the leadership team.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field (MBA is a plus).

JUNIOR OFFICE COORDINATOR – LONDON-BASED
THE ROLE
The role is a full-time and permanent position working within our existing Operations Team and will take shared responsibility for office administration and support functions, reporting to the Operations Manager and Directors. This crucial and wide-ranging role combines day-to-day coordination of the core operational functions of the organisation and would be suited to a proven well-organised multi-tasker with experience of working in creative environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of Bachelors Degree
• 1 year of experience in a similar role or customer service within the retail or hospitality sectors
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintaining smooth running of office including supplies of stationery, cleaning and other office supplies and ensuring everything is in good working order
• Sorting incoming post/courier deliveries
• Welcoming clients/guests and offering refreshments
• Taking and transferring incoming calls, taking messages as required
• Providing administrative support to Office Co-ordinator, Operations Manager, Directors and working teams
• Supporting day-to-day issues with IT systems and software, ensuring any issues are resolved efficiently by external IT support company
• Assisting with organisation of events such as the staff Christmas party
• Any other relevant ad hoc admin tasks
• Setting up and updating projects on Harvest (project management software), Zoho, and Google Sheets
• Creating new project folders and archiving completed project folders
• Monitoring staff timesheets
• Raising, issuing, and logging invoicing, and assisting Credit Control
• Work with and support the marketing lead in carrying out their marketing, public relations and business development duties
• Assist in maintaining and updating a CRM system to track leads, opportunities, and client interactions
• Maintaining daily staff attendance, including lateness records, holiday leave and sick leave
• Assisting with the onboarding of new team members, including setting up IT equipment
• Booking staff training when appropriate

SENIOR SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT – LONDON-BASED

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project management in a variety of areas including: energy strategies, energy modelling, environmental design guidance, sustainability assessments, overheating risk assessments, whole-life carbon assessments, Part L, Part O, Passivhaus, TM54, BREEAM, NABERS. One does not need to be proficient across all scopes
• Delegating work to Intermediate and Junior staff members
• Supporting the Director or Associate in resource planning for the team
• Leading and client facing key projects
• Maintaining client relationships
• Overseeing the output of junior and intermediate team members who are supporting your projects
• Reviewing work
• Deliver knowledge of the relevant Industry Standards, British Standards, Building Regulations and UK planning process to clients and colleagues

ELECTRICAL INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR ENGINEER – LONDON
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
A master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, building services engineering or similar. 3-5 years of experience in electrical design of buildings, ideally in a consultancy environment. The candidate must demonstrate a keen interest in low carbon design and take an active interest in the industry. The individual must also fulfil the following criteria:
• Excellent communication skills and capable of presenting ideas clearly
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic and ambitious
• Demonstrate knowledge of the relevant industry standards and building regulations
Although not a requirement experience in the following software will be considered a benefit: AutoDesk Revit, IES VE, Amtech, Office Suite (essential) and a programming language.

DAT-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Project management including managing a number of projects at a time
• Proficiency in design (calculations, design reports, schematics and layout drawings) of all mechanical/electrical sub disciplines
• Proficiency in design of different building use types (single residential, multi residential, retail, office etc)
• Proficiency in design/review of all RIBA Stages
• Ensure engineering designs are in accordance with the clients’ brief, project requirements, building regulations and industry standards
• Report to team lead on project deadlines, resourcing, client/design team feedback and performance of more junior engineers
• Set out resource plans for all of your projects
• Ensure delivery of work on a weekly basis as planned/resourced
• Track project work on projects you lead that is conducted by others
• Set out and work to commercial plans for your projects i.e. fee schedules against key milestones
• Delegating work to Intermediate and Junior staff members and quality assure their work
• Supporting the Director or Associate in resource planning for the team
