Unanimous planning approved!
We’re thrilled to announce that London’s largest and most ambitious estate regeneration scheme, the £1bn Carpenters Estate in Stratford, has been unanimously approved by the London Legacy Development Corporation.
The plans have been brought forward by London Borough of Newham for the wholly owned development company Populo Living. The regeneration and restoration scheme will provide up to 2,022 sustainable homes, with a further 136 homes within the scheme at James Riley Point, which have already been approved. In total 50% of the homes are for social rent. The masterplan also includes 10,000sqm of commercial space and a wide range of community, education and amenity uses to help meet residents’ wishes for ‘a real piece of London’.
