XCO2 are delighted to announce that Iceland Wharf, a project we have been heavily involved in with PH+ Architects since early 2017, received planning permission this week.

The 120-home high-density mixed-use scheme will be located on the edge of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, in Hackney Wick, East London. The project, labelled a “community within a community” by Frame Projects, will feature various layers of housing, industrial and maker space alongside more flexible tethered living and working environments shifting from commercial to residential across the scheme. These are linked by shared yards and amenity spaces to facilitate the exchanges required to allow emerging communities to form.

XCO2 have undertaken DSO and Internal Daylight Assessments, Energy and Sustainability Statements, Acoustics and Air Quality, Wind, Overheating and Flood Risk Assessments, as well as overseeing the M&E Design.
