AGC’s new European headquarters showcase some of their advanced glass technology, including dynamic shading.

XCO2 carried out advanced modelling to simulate dynamic glazed louvres which track the solar position and respond to temperature thresholds, in order to assess their thermal and daylight impact. This was done through a combination of dynamic and static modelling tools devised by XCO2 to simulate the complex behaviour of the louvres.

The work also involved computational fluid dynamics of the atrium to establish the most suitable natural ventilation strategy for the building.
