This significant and ambitious resort and residential development in the mountain countryside of Greece is to become one of, if not the highest quality, sophisticated resort offering in southern Europe, comprising 5,000 villas, three hotels, three championship golf courses, a cultural village, and a myriad of other amenities situated on a 1,250 ha site.

XCO2’s mandate from the client was to work with the broader technical team to ensure that the development pursued market leading eco-sensitive principles in all facets of its development and operations. XCO2’s proposed strategic solution was based on a closed-loop cycle, in which resource sand residues are reutilised as much as possible to minimise the inputs and outputs of the development, therefore reducing its environmental footprint.
