Thames Valley Police commissioned an officer fitness and safety centre, to be located at their training centre in Sulhamstead, Berkshire.
XCO2 provided BREEAM advice, particularly in relation to indoor air quality. The project involved dynamic modelling of natural ventilation and advice on material selection and pre-completion testing. This building includes various sustainability measures, including a green roof, natural ventilation where possible, and use of a partial timber frame.
The building is orientated to maximise the potential for passive solar heating and was designed to meet the BREEAM Excellent standard.
