We’re proud to share that XCO2 has won the Consultancy of the Year (51–300 employees) award at the CIBSE Building Performance Awards.
This is the third time we’ve won this category, and our fifth CIBSE Building Performance Award overall.
Our first two wins came in the Consultancy of the Year (up to 50 employees) category in 2022 and 2023. Since then, our team has continued to grow while staying focused on the same goal – delivering buildings that perform better in practice and helping move the industry towards net zero.
Over the past year we’ve continued to embed building performance into both our projects and the way we work as a practice. This includes acting as lead multidisciplinary consultant on the Hackney New Homes Programme, supporting the delivery of more than 400 low-energy homes and working closely with the client and design teams to share knowledge that can be applied across future projects.
We’ve also completed the first cycle of the XCO2 Academy, our two-year internal training programme designed to strengthen technical skills across the practice and embed net zero thinking into everyday design.
The judges recognised this approach, commenting:
