XCO2 are providing Green Mark Consultancy for Huber’s Butchery, a heritage building in Demspey Hill, Singapore. It is approximately 1,500m2 over two levels, with a small bistro adjacent to it. The property will undergo a partial refurbishment and replanning of the car park and external areas to support the lease renewal with the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).
The development is aiming to achieve Green Mark Supermarket certification under the BCA. The team will target Gold level certification, with the aspiration of achieving Gold Plus. Upgrades will be made to achieve Green Mark certification. These will include: LED lights with at least 15% lower in energy consumption than local code, organic garden and farm-to-table bistro programmed with tours on food waste awareness, improve recycling efficiency with dedicated storage for easy segregation and bicycle parking to promote low carbon transportation.
