XCO2 undertook an energy audit of the Yao Noi resort on behalf of Six Senses in order to identify opportunities for energy saving measures and wider sustainability actions.
The resort has an approximate built area of 21,150sqm and comprises 56 luxury villas of five types, as well as front and back of house areas. The daily occupancy is approximately 135-145 guests throughout the year, with 325 staff, 220 of which live on site.
Through the adoption of some of the key recommendations proposed by XCO2, it was estimated that significant energy savings could be achieved bringing the resort’s consumption to the target industry benchmark, and possibly below it. This could represent annual energy savings of $158,000, a significant part of which can be achieved through measures with estimated paybacks of 5 years or less.
