Manon joined XCO2 in September 2017 as sustainability consultant. Enthusiastic about learning new sustainability solutions, she is looking forward to increasing her knowledge in all different environmental assessments conducted at XCO2 and to learn from both environmental design and building services teams.
Manon has a strong interest in green buildings, biophilic cities, masterplanning and low carbon design. She wants to influence the built environment and urban development worldwide, while managing efficiently natural resources to mitigate climate change.
With a background in civil engineering (MEng), she graduated from a MSc in Structural Steel Design and Sustainable development at Imperial College a year ago. Her Master’s thesis compared the CO2 emissions of timber and concrete buildings, highlighting the importance of accounting for the whole life cycle of materials (embodied & operational carbon), and the need for refurbishment in the UK in order to achieve energy efficiency targets.
She also gained construction knowledge through several experiences on site as Assistant Site Manager before joining the company. This practical experience combined with a wide scientific background will enable her to develop her skills as sustainability consultant.
She strongly believes that curiosity, passion and communication are key to achieving one’s goals.
