XCO2 developed the energy and environmental strategy for this multi-resort masterplan on the Aegean coast of Turkey.

The strategy takes advantage of a wide range of renewable energy generation within the site, which includes biomass, biogas and large-scale photovoltaic installations. The concept of an energy bank maximises the return on renewable generation by allowing energy to be shared and traded between adjacent resorts.

Water production and management were an integral part of the masterplan and landscape design, which created a variety of water bodies for bio-enhancement and leisure purposes from sustainable sources. The strategy made extensive use of water harvesting and recycling to reduce the overall water consumption by 40%.
